CQIC BUILDING A COLLECTIVE VISION FOR CONSTRUCTION QUALITY

The Construction Quality Improvement Collaborative (CQIC) shares a vision for the construction sector where construction quality is central to all decision-making to create a sustainable quality culture – a quality culture that supports the ambitions set out in the Scottish Construction Accord.

This is the right thing to do because it will be good for:

  • business, including productivity and profitability
  • society, communities and places
  • the environment, including material and product waste
  • customer and user satisfaction
  • safety of buildings for end users
  • on-site safety
  • whole life asset performance
  • construction image and reputation
  • creating an attractive industry for the current and future workforce

Survey On Use Of Contractor Design Portion (CDP)

“CQIC launched an important survey that sought to find out how CDP is currently used and what needs to change to improve the CDP process. The survey was a chance for everyone working in the sector to have their say on how the system can be improved and to help shape future guidance to inform best practice.

We urged all those involved in the sector to take the time to contribute to this important piece of research which will bring benefits to us all. We were delighted with the response we got and will be providing updates on this website as we take things forward.”
